It’s a course, delivered by email, about progress in therapy. And it’s free.
It is designed for people who are in therapy and want to learn more about how therapy works and how they can help themselves move forward in therapy.
The course raises topics – perhaps things you haven’t thought about before – that are meant to be brought up in your therapy. Fuel for the fire, so to speak.
When you sign up you receive seven emails, one every other day. Each part of the course involves some type of writing exercise to get you thinking about your therapy. And I provide a couple of multimedia items that are particularly useful.
Exposure to ideas about therapy advances therapy by giving you a sense of what is possible. Understanding helps you address obstacles as they arise and helps you articulate your thinking about your therapy and to your therapist. This course offers a taste of the rich dialogue about therapy that supports this particular mode of helping people grow.
For those of you familiar with A Course To Deepen Your Therapy, this is a mini-version of the course delivered by email and it is free.
The course covers the following topics:
Why are you in therapy?
Five possible results from ongoing therapy
Myths about progress in therapy
How to prepare for your sessions
Things that hold you back in therapy
Your relationship with your therapist
To start the course, grab a notebook and enter your email address here.
And if you know someone who might be interested please go ahead and share it with them.
I created this course to give more people the chance to delve into the extensive amount material I created for the course I launched last spring. I do this work because I believe in its power to make a difference in places where a difference doesn’t seem possible.
